I picked this a few days later and made a lovely tomato sandwich with basil, mayo and provlone cheese.<br /><br />Later did a taste test between the 2 heirlooms I was growing - Pantano Romanesco and the Cherokee Purple.<br /><br />The pantano was too tart, but the cherokee had the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Yum!
