First tomato of the summer. I picked this a few days later and made a lovely tomato sandwich with basil, mayo and provlone cheese. Later did a taste test between the 2 heirlooms I was growing - Pantano Romanesco and the Cherokee Purple. The pantano was too tart, but the cherokee had the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Yum! I know what I'll be growing again next summer.

Love this color combo. Was thinking about this combination for a week and I put together and it looks like what was in my head.

This is a new design that I've had in my head for awhile. Saw some beautiful handspun yarn by The Crafty Scientist and immediately wanted to turn it into jewelry. Combines lampwork glass Amoeba and her lovely yarn on a sterling silver chain.

Accidently picked this yesterday. I was going to wait until it turned red, but when I tilted it up to get a better look it snapped off. Damn. I have tons more growing, but this one was the biggest so far. Also, have some poblanos. Can't wait to make chili rellenos !
